Tom Richards
Thomas Richards is a former Air Force aviator, business executive, and the founder of 5 by 2 Coaching — a Christ-centered leadership and identity coaching platform for men and leaders.
With over 20 years of active-duty military service and 15 years leading a defense contracting company as CEO, Thomas understands high-level leadership, responsibility, and pressure. But his most transformative leadership lessons came not from the cockpit or the boardroom — they came from confronting identity wounds he had carried silently since childhood.
In his 60s, Thomas publicly acknowledged past trauma and began a journey of deep identity alignment rooted in Scripture. That process reshaped his leadership philosophy and birthed 5 by 2 Coaching.
Today, he helps Christian leaders, fathers, veterans, and entrepreneurs break false narratives, heal identity wounds, and lead their families and organizations with clarity, courage, and conviction.
Thomas is passionate about evangelism, biblical truth, and building men who build strong families. He has been married for nearly 40 years, has four children who follow Christ, and is a proud grandfather of fourteen.
His message is simple:

Built on decades of leadership experience—from military service to executive leadership—and a deeply personal journey of faith and healing, our mission is to help men realign their identity with biblical truth.
We believe true leadership doesn’t begin with strategy—it begins with identity. When a man knows who he is in Christ, everything changes: how he leads, how he loves, and how he lives.
Through focused 1-on-1 coaching in 8- and 12-week cycles, we walk alongside Christian leaders, fathers, veterans, and entrepreneurs to uncover what’s been holding them back, heal what’s been hidden, and activate a clear, aligned path forward.

STATEMENT OF FAITH
At 5 by 2 Coaching, our foundation is Jesus Christ and the authority of Scripture.
We believe:
• The Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and the final authority for faith and life.
• There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
• Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, who lived sinlessly, died for our sins, and was bodily resurrected.
• Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone — not by works.
• Every believer is indwelt by the Holy Spirit and called to live a life of holiness, courage, and Kingdom impact.
• Identity is found in Christ — not in performance, position, trauma, or achievement.
• The Church is called to make disciples, strengthen families, and proclaim the Gospel boldly.
